Services
- Identify policy gaps and advise national and county governments on scheduled food crops.
- Capacity build Counties and promote new appropriate innovations and technologies for the development of food crops production;
- Provide advisory services on matters related to food crops;
- Identify and recommend priorities for research in the food crops subsector;
- Disseminate research findings and new production technologies through advisories and partnerships on demonstration farms in potential production areas.
- Develop and review technical materials (handbooks, booklets, manuals, or guides) for food crops.
- Establish a partnership with learning institutions to develop and review the training curriculum and modules for food crop production.
- Collect and collate data, disseminate and maintain a database of food crops production;
- Vet and witness contracts entered into between growers and other players in the industry before they are executed.
- Analyze food crops production data periodically and prepare briefs to advise on the status of the food situation.
- Organize stakeholder forum in consultation with County Governments to promote and show-case emerging technologies and good agricultural practices.
